Rosalind Burns, nacida en Chile, vive a los pies de la sierra de Almijara arriba de Frigiliana. En su estadía previa en los EE UU, se integra al Washington Studio School (Washington DC), primero como alumna, luego como profesora de dibujo y pintura. En los últimos años ha comisariado la serie de exposiciones “Arte en Verano” de la Asociación cultural Ventana Abierta, y la exposición “K’isas” de la artista chilena Karen Lüderitz en la Casa de Iberoamérica en Cádiz. Su trabajo artístico en pintura recorre el espectro entre lo figurativo y lo abstracto. Sus pinturas han sido expuestas en Massachusetts, en Florida, Washington DC, España y Chile.
Rosalind Burns was born in Chile. She currently lives at the foothills of the Sierra Almijara above Frigiliana. During her prolongued stay in the US, she became part of the Washington Studio School (Washington, DC) , first as a student and later as an instructor of drawing and painting. In recent years she has curated the exhibition series "Arte en Verano" for the cultural organization Ventana Abierta, as well as an exhibition at the Casa de Iberoamérica in Cádiz. Her work traverses the realms of the figurative and the nonobjective. Many of her paintings have been exhibited in Massachusetts, in Florida, in Washington DC, as well as in Spain and Chile.
